LEONARDO DA VINCI BIKES

As a member of Art + Engineering, I created a Leonardo da Vinci parade float for the Houston Art Car Parade. We built real-life models of da Vinci's aerial screw, parachute, and glider designs.

Using wooden mechanical models as a baseline, we scaled up the designs to life-size using laser cut cardboard, canvas, and string, using the bicycles as the base.

We participated in the Art Car Parade, displaying our bike for the audience to look at beforehand, and then walked the bikes through the parade for the enjoyment of thousands of parade-goers.
